These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Soulful Storytellers website, courses, mentorship programs, community spaces, and related services.
By accessing or using any part of the Soulful Storytellers platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not access or use the services.
For the purposes of these Terms, “Soulful Storytellers”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to the Soulful Storytellers business and its owners, operators, instructors, and representatives.
1. Educational Services
Soulful Storytellers provides educational resources related to filmmaking and storytelling, including but not limited to:
• online courses
• mentorship sessions
• live training events
• community discussions
• educational resources and workbooks
• project critique and feedback sessions
All content and services are provided for educational and informational purposes only.
Participation in any Soulful Storytellers program does not guarantee specific creative, professional, or financial outcomes.
2. Eligibility
By using our services you confirm that:
• you are at least 18 years of age, or
• you have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
You agree to provide accurate information when creating accounts, enrolling in programs, or joining community spaces.
3. Platforms and Technology
Soulful Storytellers delivers content and community experiences through various third-party platforms including but not limited to:
• Squarespace (website hosting)
• Thinkific (course hosting)
• Mailchimp (email communications)
• Dubsado (client management)
• Facebook Groups and Messenger Communities (community interaction)
• Zoom (live calls and recordings)
• Wobo (workbooks and learning tools)
• Payment providers such as Stripe or PayPal
We reserve the right to change or replace platforms or technologies at any time in order to improve the learning experience or maintain operational functionality.
4. Community Participation
Members participating in Soulful Storytellers communities agree to engage respectfully and constructively.
Participants must not:
• harass or intimidate other members
• post abusive or discriminatory content
• share private or sensitive information about others
• distribute course materials without permission
We reserve the right to remove any member from the community who violates these guidelines without refund if applicable.
5. Live Calls and Recordings
Soulful Storytellers hosts live calls including:
• mentorship sessions
• group mentorship discussions
• live trainings
• orientation sessions
• community events
These calls may be recorded for educational purposes.
Recordings may be shared internally with members or participants.
Highlights from recordings may be edited and added to educational resource libraries.
Participants are encouraged to notify us within 48 hours if they wish specific content to be removed from shared recordings.
6. Mentorship Sessions
Private mentorship sessions are educational consultations designed to support creative development.
Sessions may be recorded for reference purposes and may be shared privately with the participant.
If valuable educational content arises during a session, we may request permission from the participant to share excerpts within the Soulful Storytellers community or educational materials.
Mentorship sessions do not create any formal professional advisory relationship.
7. Project Submissions and Film Critiques
Participants may submit films or projects for critique or educational discussion.
By submitting a project, you confirm that:
• you are the copyright owner of the work, or have the legal right to share it
• all individuals appearing in the project have provided appropriate consent or model releases
• any music, footage, or materials used are legally licensed
You grant Soulful Storytellers permission to review the project for critique and educational discussion.
With permission, excerpts may be shared internally or for educational purposes with appropriate credit.
You agree to indemnify Soulful Storytellers against claims arising from copyright or permission issues related to submitted materials.
8. Intellectual Property
All course materials, videos, educational resources, workbooks, and content provided through Soulful Storytellers are the intellectual property of Soulful Storytellers unless otherwise stated.
You may not:
• copy or reproduce course materials
• distribute or share content publicly
• sell or redistribute materials
• upload course content to external platforms
Content is licensed for personal educational use only.
9. Marketing Permissions
Members may voluntarily submit:
• testimonials
• reviews
• biography information
• photographs
These materials may be used for marketing, promotional, or educational purposes including:
• website features
• social media posts
• community spotlights
If you prefer not to have specific content used publicly, please notify us in writing.
10. Course and Community Access
Some programs include “lifetime access”.
Lifetime access refers to access for the lifetime of the program while it remains active.
Soulful Storytellers reserves the right to modify, discontinue, or restructure programs, courses, or community platforms.
Where possible, reasonable notice will be provided to members.
11. Scheduling and Event Changes
Live event schedules including mentorship sessions, community calls, or training events may change from time to time.
Updates will be communicated through community announcements, email notifications, or course platforms.
12. Payments and Refunds
All purchases are subject to the refund policies described on the relevant sales page at the time of purchase.
Unless otherwise stated, course purchases are non-transferable.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Soulful Storytellers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform, courses, or community participation.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Soulful Storytellers and its operators from claims, damages, or legal disputes arising from:
• content you submit
• copyright violations
• misuse of course materials
• breach of these Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
Any disputes arising from use of the Soulful Storytellers platform shall be resolved under this jurisdiction.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically.
The most current version will always be posted on this page.
Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
